Cobija, 17 de abril de 2025<\/strong> \u2013 UNICEF entreg\u00f3 este jueves 17 de abril al Gobierno Aut\u00f3nomo Municipal de Cobija material de saneamiento sostenible y reforestaci\u00f3n por un valor de Bs. 162.000.  La entrega se la realiz\u00f3 en instalaciones de la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales de la Empresa de Servicios de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado (EPSA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El material consiste en plantines, indumentaria e insumos para el programa de reforestaci\u00f3n tanto para parques y jardines del GAM Cobija y la planta de aguas residuales de EPSA Municipal, y forma parte del Programa de Saneamiento Sostenible Descentralizado Urbano (PSSDU), ejecutado por el municipio de Cobija, con el apoyo t\u00e9cnico de UNICEF<\/a>, y financiero de la Embajada de Suecia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLo que se est\u00e1 haciendo aqu\u00ed en Cobija es un modelo que se puede replicar en otros municipios del pa\u00eds, con este cierre del ciclo, del abono, de la reforestaci\u00f3n, del cuidado del medioambiente, el ahorro del agua, la higiene, a trav\u00e9s de dos entidades bien comprometidas, como son EPSA y el Gobierno Municipal de Cobija, con el liderazgo de su alcaldesa, que aunque no cuenta con los recursos, est\u00e1 tocando las puertas para mostrar lo que su municipio necesita, lo que puede hacer y los resultados que tiene\u201d sostuvo Irma Peredo, oficial de WASH de UNICEF Bolivia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A trav\u00e9s de esta entrega se busca garantizar un entorno limpio, verde y saludable, toda vez que no s\u00f3lo protege el medioambiente, tambi\u00e9n protege a la ni\u00f1ez, por lo que esta donaci\u00f3n busca fortalecer las capacidades locales para ofrecer servicios de saneamiento que respondan a los desaf\u00edos clim\u00e1ticos y promuevan pr\u00e1cticas responsables en la gesti\u00f3n del agua y los residuos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La alcaldesa de Cobija, Ana Lucia Reis, manifest\u00f3 que a trav\u00e9s de este programa se impacta directamente en la vida 43 familias beneficiarias que ya cuentan con ba\u00f1os ecol\u00f3gicos secos, \u201cy que pronto ser\u00e1n 1543 ba\u00f1os para beneficiar a nuestras familias que lo necesitan, que les cambia sus condiciones de vida, que ayuda a conservar nuestro medioambiente, que se utiliza los residuos de los ba\u00f1os para que lleguen a esta planta de tratamiento que tambi\u00e9n es parte del proyecto, de las inversiones que se vienen haciendo en este municipio\u201d, apunt\u00f3 Reis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El PSSDU contribuye, como parte importante de sus componentes, a la reforestaci\u00f3n y la gesti\u00f3n eficiente de los residuos como elementos clave de un enfoque integral de saneamiento urbano, esta entrega busca fortalecer la infraestructura institucional y contribuye a la restauraci\u00f3n del ecosistema local, al tiempo que promueve el compromiso interinstitucional con el desarrollo sostenible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as tienen el derecho a crecer en un entorno limpio y seguro. El acceso a sistemas de saneamiento, agua potable y buenas pr\u00e1cticas de higiene no solo favorece su desarrollo, sino que tambi\u00e9n les proporciona un comienzo m\u00e1s saludable en la vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las consecuencias de la falta de agua, saneamiento e higiene (WASH) pueden ser mortales. Las personas que viven en zonas rurales, barrios marginales urbanos, zonas propensas a desastres y pa\u00edses de bajos ingresos son las m\u00e1s vulnerables y quienes m\u00e1s sufren los efectos de esta carencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
